Hadeeth at the centre.
Our curriculum culminates in the great collections of the Sunnah: the four Sunan, then Saheeh al-Bukhaari and Saheeh Muslim. Students study complete books, not excerpts.
DARUL HADEETH INTERNATIONAL
Darul Hadeeth International is an Islamic seminary dedicated to teaching the religion through the Book of Allah, the authentic Sunnah of the Messenger ﷺ, and the understanding of the Salaf us-Saalih.
ABOUT DARUL HADEETH INTERNATIONAL
DHI is not a collection of classes. It is a structured, multi-year seminary with a defined curriculum, qualified teachers, and recognised degrees, built to produce students of knowledge who can read, understand, and convey the Sunnah with precision and trustworthiness.
To revive the traditional path of seeking knowledge—studying established texts, line by line, under qualified teachers, with a connected chain of transmission—and to make that path accessible to sincere students around the world.
A generation of students grounded in the Qur'an and the Sunnah, who have memorised the Book of Allah, mastered the Arabic language, studied the foundational books of Hadeeth from cover to cover, and carry ijaazah in what they have learned, so they can return to their communities as teachers, imams, and callers to the truth.
HOW WE SEEK KNOWLEDGE
Our curriculum culminates in the great collections of the Sunnah: the four Sunan, then Saheeh al-Bukhaari and Saheeh Muslim. Students study complete books, not excerpts.
Rather than restricting students to a single madhhab, DHI teaches fiqh as derived from the Hadeeth, through established mutoon studied with their evidences.
Level 1 is taught in English to build a firm Arabic foundation. From Level 2 onward, all instruction is in Arabic, so students learn directly from the sources and their scholars.
Memorisation of the Qur'an begins in Level 2 and continues every year, so that by the end of the programme every graduate has memorised the entire Qur'an.
Every text completed at DHI is accompanied by an ijaazah, connecting the student to the chains of the scholars who taught it before.
EIGHT YEARS · FOUR LEVELS
The full DHI programme spans eight years, in four levels of two years each.
Associate in Arabic · Taught in English.
Bachelor's degree · Taught in Arabic. Level 3 includes the four Sunan.
Master's degree · Saheeh al-Bukhaari and Saheeh Muslim.
Students who cannot yet read Arabic script begin with Iqra Flow, our preparatory reading course of about three months.
Each level awards a certificate of completion together with an ijaazah for every text covered.
QUALIFICATIONS
DHI is a registered seminary and is therefore able to award formal degrees: an Associate in Arabic, a Bachelor's, and a Master's.
DHI degrees are earned by studying at DHI. There is no testing out of the programme, and the DHI Bachelor's is a prerequisite for the DHI Master's. Students not seeking a degree may join a higher level with written confirmation from a shaykh or institute that they have studied the preceding level's texts, along with a placement test.
Learn about degrees and ijaazah →WEEK BY WEEK
For each subject, every week, students receive three recorded lessons from complete books, one to two live classes with their teacher, and a comprehension quiz.
Iqra Flow and Level 1 students also attend live Arabic drills with an associate professor.
BEYOND THE CURRICULUM
DHI hosts weekly and monthly seminars outside the core programme, delivered by our resident teachers and visiting scholars, giving students and the wider community further benefit and access to people of knowledge.
