Every level is a self-contained two-year course. Each level ends with a certificate of completion, and ijazah in each text covered, granted upon meeting the teacher's conditions. Degrees are conferred by DHI as a registered seminary.
Alongside the levels, DHI holds weekly and monthly seminars on topics and books not covered in the curriculum, given by resident teachers and by visiting scholars and specialists, to strengthen and broaden students' learning.
Class format. Each class has, every week, three recorded lessons covering complete books, one or two live classes depending on the material, and a comprehension quiz on that week's material. Iqra Flow and Level 1 have additional live classes for Arabic drills with an associate professor.
